  • Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network
    The Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network is a cooperative alliance of pollution prevention (P2) programs throughout the region. The network focuses on regional P2 issues through researching, consolidating, and disseminating P2 information. The network increases P2 effectiveness by providing P2 programs with timely, accurate and useful information and resources.

    EPA's Region 9 office works to protect public health and the environment in the southwestern United States (Arizona, California, Nevada, and Hawaii).
  • U.S. EPA Tribal Compliance Assistance Center
    The web-based center is designed to help tribal environmental professionals and facility owners and operators comply with environmental regulations and get information on topics including waste management, air and water resources, drinking water, and public safety. From the Tribal Center, viewers can report a complaint to EPA, find out the compliance status of facilities in Indian country, learn how to apply for federal grants, and locate EPA personnel who can answer your environmental compliance questions. If access to the Internet is limited, much of the Tribal Center’s information is found in the Profile of Tribal Government Operations which can be ordered by calling 1-800-490-9198.

    The mission of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is to save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America's workers. To accomplish this, federal and state governments must work in partnership with the more than 100 million working men and women and their six and a half million employers who are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

    Through its programs and services, the Washoe County District Health Department pursues the public health mission of health promotion, disease prevention and environmental protection to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County Nevada.
  • Truckee Meadows Regional Stormwater Quality Management Program
    The Truckee Meadows Regional Stormwater Quality Management Program is a comprehensive program comprised of efforts by local governments and private citizens to reduce the pollution associated with urban runoff in the Truckee Meadows. This program is required by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit issued jointly to the Cities of Reno and Sparks, Washoe County, and the Nevada Department of Transportation on January 14, 2000. The Truckee Meadows Interlocal Stormwater Committee has been working to develop the program through a series of public workshops.

  • RCRAInfo - Find your EPA Identification Number!
    Hazardous waste information is contained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Information (RCRAInfo), a national program management and inventory system about hazardous waste handlers. In general, all generators, transporters, treaters, storers, and disposers of hazardous waste are required to provide information about their activities to state environmental agencies.
